BPJPH Discusses Halal Product Sertification Cooperation with Chinese Delegation

This is in order to strengthen the Halal Product Guarantee cooperation of the two countries.

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The Halal Products Guarantee Organization (BPJPH) of the Ministry of Religious Affairs discussed cooperation on the development of halal products with the delegation of the Chinese Government. It was as an effort to strengthen the guarantee of promotion of halal products both at home and abroad.

“Today we received a delegation of the Government of China who visited BPJPH, in order to strengthen the cooperation of the two countries through the Halal Product Guarantee sector,” BPJPH EA Secretary Chuzaemi Abidin said in a statement in Jakarta, Sunday (19/5/2024).

Chuzaemi said that BPJPH of the Ministry of Religious Affairs continues to strive to strengthen Halal Product Guarantee (JPH) cooperation, both at home and abroad.

“Recently, the efforts made by BPJPH together with the Two Countries Twin Parks Investment Promotion Center discussed strengthening JPH cooperation between the Government of Indonesia and China,” Chuzaemi said.

The Chinese delegation was headed by Director of Administrative Committee of Yuanhong Funcional Zone Wang Xingang, and accompanied by Deputy Secretary General of Fuzhou Municipal Government Sun Peijun, and Director of Investment Promotion Department of Administrative Committee of Yuanghong Functional Zone, Yu Linlin.

“This meeting is important to ensure that this cooperation process can be accelerated. So that the synergy of the two countries in this sector of halal products is realized immediately,” Chuzaemi said.

Chuzaemi said that the accelerated efforts related to the process of preparing the MoU, as well as the follow-up of the application for accreditation of foreign halal institutions, so as to achieve the fulfillment of halal standards for the products traded by both countries.

“We urgently accelerate coordination, including with relevant stakeholders, so that synergies between the two countries are realized immediately, run according to expectations, and provide positive implications for both countries,” Chuzaemi said.
