This verse of the Quran instructs all people to realize the greatness of Allah SWT. Sometimes people feel free to do anything. In fact, they will all be held accountable someday.

At the very least, a believer has to acquit himself. Do not let his heart and mouth become instruments of wickedness.

Here's some guide on how to guard the heart and words

1. Stay away from prejudice

The murky heart becomes fertile ground for feelings of envy and spitefulness. From there, a sheaf of prejudices arises that is not based on strong evidence. It's even worse when that inner emotion is brought to light. The result is a lie or slander for the sake of bringing down the good name of others.

The Qur'an advises us. “O you who believe! Stay away from many prejudices; indeed, some prejudices are sins, and do not look for the faults of others, and let none of you use some of the others

Do any of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? Of course you feel disgusted. And fear Allah, verily Allah is Oft-Redeemer, Most Merciful” (QS al-Hujurat: 12)

2. Self-introspection

'Umar ibn Khattab said, “Count yourselves before you are counted. Weigh your charity before your deeds are weighed. The Fakih Hasan al-Bashri once said, “The people who will most easily go through the reckoning of charity on the Day of Resurrection are those who, during their lives, constantly introspect themselves in order to attain the glory of Allah.“

So, make the heart and the word of mouth a tool to judge yourself first. The process of accountability is important for improving the personal qualities of a servant of God. When you realize your sins and sins, repent immediately. “Indeed, Allah loves the repentant and loves the one who purifies himself” (QS al-Baqarah: 222)

3. Guarantee of paradise

By staying away from the fear of doubt and often paying attention, God willing, we can consistently keep our thoughts and words from going to waste. When we die, we can be even more optimistic about attaining the glory of God and being included in the category of the inhabitants of heaven

In a hadith, the Prophet Muhammad said, “The salvation of man depends on his ability to maintain the tongue” (H.R. Bukhari). He also promised paradise to anyone among Muslims who could keep what was between his lips (mouth) and what was between his legs.

“Truly, a servant uttered a sentence without first thought, and so he was plunged into hell as far as east and west” (HR Muslim).

The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) contains wisdom so that we always use the word as a means of virtue. There have been so many disputes in this world that start from the curse being spoken.
