REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Universitas Muhammadiyah Jakarta (UMJ) again agreed on cooperation with the banking sector. This time with CIMB Niaga Sharia bank. The signing of the cooperation sheet was held at Kasman Singodimedjo Auditorium of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) UMJ, Thursday (8/8/2024).
The cooperation was signed by UMJ Rector Prof. Dr. Mamun Murod Al-Barbasy, MSi, together with Head of Sharia Consumer Banking CIMB Niaga Bung Aldilla, Head Of Credit Card Trisna LM Siahaan, and Head Of Region Jakarta and Borneo Evita Barliana.
The cooperation was carried out in order to provide educational facilities services from CIMB Niaga Sharia in the form of Edu X-Tra Program and School and Campus Activation Program.
Ma'mun welcomes this cooperation. He said that UMJ always opens opportunities for cooperation with various banks in efforts to improve and manage educational services facilities.
“Thank you for choosing UMJ as a cooperation partner. We in principle do not know the term single bank. Therefore, hopefully this cooperation can be mutually beneficial,” Ma'mun said.
On the same occasion, Head of Sharia Consumer Banking CIMB Niaga Bung Aldilla explained that this cooperation is a form of CIMB Niaga Sharia's support to the education world in Indonesia. This is so that people who have financing difficulties can still get quality education.
“We try to help students to make payments who feel they object to financing,” Aldilla said when interviewed after signing on Thursday (8/8/2024).
CIMB Niaga Sharia focuses on the development of the Muslim community, one of them in the field of education. Naturally, UMJ became a strategic partner as part of Amal Usaha Muhammadiyah (AUM).
“We hope CIMB Niaga Sharia can provide convenience to the community and the community. We will continue to present solutions including in the field of education,” he concluded.
Also present were UMJ BPH as well as General Secretary Prof. Abdul Mu'ti, as well as Deputy Rector II of UMJ Dr Ir Mutmainah, Vice-Rector III of UMJ Dr Rini Fatma Kartika, as well as Dean, Head of Institutions and Bureaus in UMJ.
