Erick Thohir Optimistic BUMN Will Contribute Rp 90 Trillion Dividends in 2025

While the 2025 budget shortfall received by the Ministry of State Enterprises is only Rp 277 billion.

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir is optimistic that the SOE Ministry's dividend target of Rp 90 trillion by 2025 can be reached. “Yesterday the dividend was rapped by Rp 90 trillion by the Ministry of Finance, for 2024 if we look at the book this is two to three months left, God willing is also achieved,” Erick said in Jakarta, Friday (1/11/2024).

Erick said that the Ministry of state-owned enterprises will hold a meeting with Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto and other economic ministers to discuss the next 100-day and five-year program. In addition, the Ministry of state-owned enterprises will also continue the previously existing programs.

Among them, increased credit for small and medium-sized micro enterprises (MSMEs), national strategic projects (PSN) carried out by state-owned enterprises, and the development of the Health Special Economic Area (KEK) in Sanur, Bali. “God willing again to be consistent in our commitment to good corporate governance, clean up and sustainable programs. We continue to guard that,” Erick said.

The Ministry of state-owned enterprises in 2025 has a target to increase the amount of dividends to Rp 90 trillion or up from 2024, which amounts to Rp 85 trillion. Meanwhile, the deadline for the 2025 budget received by the Ministry is only Rp 277 billion.

In accordance with the Working Meeting on June 7, 2024, the VI Commission of the Parliament of the Republic of Indonesia approved the indicative threshold of the Ministry of BUMN of Rp 277 billion and the additional proposal of Rp 66 billion. However, according to the joint letter of the Minister of Finance and the Head of Bappenas, the budget limit of the Ministry of state-owned enterprises is set at Rp 277 billion, or it has not accommodated additional proposals according to previous requests.
