REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDARLAMPUNG -- Two women weightlifters from Lampung, Sri Hartati and Noviana Sari, will represent Indonesia at the International Weightlifting Federation World Championship in Luxembourg, being held from November 9 to 15, 2015.
"Sri Hartati will be fielded in the 57 kg class and Sari Noviana in 63 kg class," the Lampung's Women Weightlifting Coach, Ana Maria, said here on Friday, adding that the two weightlifters have been preparing for the World Championship since last August.
According to her, the two athletes were still undergoing routine exercises at the "Padepokan Gajah Lampung Pringsewu." Before the Luxembourg joust, the training remained focused on three kinds of exercises: squats, bench presses and deadlifts.
In addition to preparation in the form of exercise, Maria explained that her side also took into account the anticipated conditions at the site of the game, in terms of adaptation to the venue and the cold weather in Luxembourg.
