REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG -- There are possibilities that Eid al-fitr on this year will be celebrated differently. This matter should not be disputed.

Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) Secretary of West Java Rafani Achyar asked the Muslims should not question of the difference in the determination of Eid. The difference in the determination was considered a reasonable occurred due to differences in calculation methodology.

"Muslims should prioritize in common than differences. In this way, the integrity will be maintained properly," he said on Wednesday, July 8.

In addition, he said, people were also encouraged to tolerance and mutual respect in the face of a difference. It was in line with the MUI fatwa that people should give priority to tolerance.

"I estimate that the determination of the Eid will be many alike, maybe just a little bit different. We just wait for the Isbat hearing," he said.
