REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BOGOR - Two teenagers out of 23 asylum seekers from Rohingya who got away from a shelter in Bogor surrender themselves to Bogor immigration office. Both of them, Ibrahim (16 years) and Rofik (17 years), said that they were separated from the other 21 who would seek political shelter in Australia.
"We didn't know where to go. We prefer to surrender," Rofik said. But, Rofik emphasized that he did not want to be repatriated to his country. The immigration officer, I Gede, said that the 21 Rohingya immigrants were now in Ciamis. "They probably continue to Pangandaran, then to Australia," he said.
