In the last several years, Dave Bob Marshall and his wife, Kate, always visit Bali. Instead of enjoying the beauty of this Island of Gods, they go to Legian, Kuta. Every year since 2002, Dave always takes his time to bring flower to this place.

Legian has a dark story 10 years ago on Saturday, October 12, 2002 at 23.08 Central Indonesian Time. Two bombs exploded in front of Sari Club and Paddys Pub. 202 people were killed and 325 others were injured.

Dave's father, Robert James (Bob) Marshall, was among the 88 Australians who died in the incident. "It is hard for me to forget the incident. The one that I love died in bombing attack," Dave said with teary eyes.

Another tourist from Perth, Australia, Lorrane, also brought flower arrangement for the victims of Bali bombing. It was her friends that became the victims of Bali bombing. She was enjoying his vacation at Dewi Sri Legian Hotel, hundreds meter from the scene, when the tragedy occurred.

"It was so tense at that moment. I saw Sari Club was burned and crumbling. Hundreds people lost their lives. I was devastated. I cried seeing my friends became one of the victim," she said.

A volunteer of Bali bombing, Agus Bambang Priyanto, said that the tragedy left sad memory as the incident also destroyed growing Bali economic development. But, he said that Balinese got over quickly. Bali has resurrected.

Together with other volunteers, he helped the victims. He was willing to give maximum assistance. "We even evacuated pieces of human body in the street," he said.

The tragedy, he said, made people depressed. But, Balinese becomes mature after struck by bomb twice. At first, Balinese thought that the attack was made by Muslim. Now, they understand that Islam does not teach bombing attack. Now, the relationship between Islam and Hinduism in Bali is more harmonized. "We who live in Bali are not easily played off," he said.
