REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, OSAKA - Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) will prepare a 1,000 hectare industrial estate in Karawang, West Java, for Japanese investors planning to relocate their business to Indonesia. The industrial estate is equipped with a number of facilities to attract investors.
Executive Director of BNI, Gatot M Suwondo, said the area would be integrated with an access to port and business location. "We expect to get support from government particularly Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) to collect all proposals of investment from Japan," he said on the press release on Sunday.
Suwondo said at least a thousand customers of Japan Regional Bank (JRB) were interested in relocating their business to Indonesia. BNI has prepared a unit called Japan Desk to help them relocating their business and applying permit.
Currently, 46 JRB have signed the Memorandum of Understanding (Mou) with BNI. "We provide facilities to help JRB customers relocating their business to Indonesia," he said.
