Police deploy six surveillance vessels at Port of Bakauheni

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDAR LAMPUNG - Directorate of Water Police in Lampung Regional Police puts six surveillance vessels XXV-2003 at Port of Bakauheni, Lampung. Police also deploys two rubber boats and 11 security posts.

"The vissels are operated to escort 2013 homebound trips through waters of Lampung in order to provide comfort and security for people," Director Polair in Lampung Regional Police, Edion said on Thursday.

Beside at Port of Bakauheni, a number of police patrol boats are also placed in some dangerous areas. Edion said prone areas were located at Port of Bakauheni, folk entertainment in Pasir Putih beach, Duta Wisata beach, Queen Artha beach, Tirtayasa beach and Tangkil island.

Police escort is also prepared to secure homebound trips of travelers, from Port of Bakauheni in Lampung to Port of Merak in Banten, so it can anticipate occurance of crimes in waters. Edion said homecoming escort activities in 2013 was carried out by combined apparatus, such as Polair and Rescue team.

in Overall, police deploys 18 patrol vessels in some points that are prone to accidents and crime, to speed up prosecution of report or information which will received by Sea Reader's ship, XXV police boat and rubber boats.
