REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - PT Energi Mega Persada, an upstream oil and gas company recorded net profit worth 173.39 million USD in 2013 or grew more than 500 percent compared to previous year. The high profit was driven by divestment's profit from its business unit worth 163.68 million USD.
"We did not gain any profit from divestment from the previous year," Energi Mega Persada's director, Didit H Agripinanto said on Wednesday.
Company also gained other income worth 49.62 million USD. In 2012, company experienced a loss due to other expenses up to 94.69 million USD.
Jakarta-listed oil and gas company recorded total sales of 807.22 million USD in 2013 or grew 23.3 percent compared to 2012. Domestic market contributed the largest profit or 56.9 percent, while the rest was exported. Based on type of products, company's sales is dominated by natural gas 52.7 percent and the rest was crude oil.
