REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Certainty of presidential candidates could boost the long term investment in Indonesia, PT Panin Asset Management, a subsidiary of publicly listed PT Panin Sekuritas assessed. Head of Operation and Business Development at Panin Asset Management, Rudiyanto said that investor orientation toward long term investment would increase the composite stock price index (CSPI) at Indonesia's Stock Exchange (IDX).

"The speculative investors will shift its investment to long term scheme driven by political certainty," Rudiyanto said on Monday.

With the long term investment, the need of capital market products will increase. For example, Panin Asset Management issued a new type of mutual fund, namely Panin Dana Ultima.

This product consists of 25 companies with good prospects. Rudiyanto said that company would identify companies' shares sold below market price which could bring return of investment above the average price in long term scheme.
