REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The team of Anies Baswedan-Sandiaga Uno were optimistic to join the second round of Jakarta gubernatorial election 2017. The Chairman of the Central Board of Gerindra Party Ahmad Riza Patria said he would cooperate with as many as parties to win the round. "Of course to win the second round we would cooperate with all parties. It did not close the opportunities to cooperate with Agus-Sylvi," said him in the office of the central board of Gerindra in South Jakarta on Wednesday (Feb 15).
Riza believed Agus-Sylvi had the same intention to bring better condition to Jakarta. All the team, he said, could made a synergy to fix the capital city. Cooperation was very important to make the city better.
"We should keep the unity, the competition of regional election should not split the nation. This should develop a diversity as the resources to the national unity," he said.
Based on the result of the quick count, the Jakarta regional election would be conducted on two rounds because there was no candidate reached 50 percent plus one of the voters. Almost all of the survey showed Ahok-Djarot and Anies-Sandi would joined the second round.
