REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Indonesian Vice President Boediono urged National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT) and related agencies to harmonize the implementation of National Program to Counter Radical Terrorism. He said that government needed a fitted program to avert radical acts.

The governmental agencies, he said, could not exercise their maximum efforts without joint act with clear target. "The blue print of this program must be targeted," he said on Monday.

He also asked BNPT to consider the suggestion from ministers attending the meeting. But, he made it clear that government did not intend to control the whole things.

Among those present at the meeting were Coordinating Minister for Political Legal and Security Affairs Djoko Suyanto, Indonesian Military (TNI) Chief Adm. Agus Suhartono, National Police Chief General Timur Pradopo, Minister for Religious Affairs Suryadharma Ali, Minister for Social Services Salim Segaf Al Jufrie, Chief of National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT) Ansyaad Mbai and head of Presidential Working Unit for the Supervision and Management of Development (UKP4) Kuntoro Mangkusubroto.
