REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, PALU -- Chairman of Executive Board of Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) in Palu, Central Sulawesi, Matindas J Rumambi is ready to win Joko Widodo (known as Jokowi) and Jusuf Kalla as president and vice presidential candidate this year. They began to promote the two figures who will compete on the upcoming election.

"We expected to get 60 percent of votes in Palu," Rumambi said on Wednesday.

PDIP Palu will carry out an intensive socialization in order to achieve the target. He said, though Golkar and Gerindra party won the legislative election in the city, both parties will not necessarily win majority votes in this presidential election.

"We will work hard to win Jokowi-JK," Rumambi added.

Head of PDIP's election campaign team in Palu, Yopy Kekung said that his team would try harder for the maximum votes.

PDIP's chairman, Megawati Soekarnoputri said that the party had made a plan to win the election since 10 years ago. She said that she was not an arrogant person or too confident to win this competition, but she had the strategy.

"During this time, we are not busy with government affairs because we are not in it, so that party's consolidation has been ready," she said.
