REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono admitted that government had failed on war against corruption. He said, corruption cases could be found at regional and central government, and in executive, judicative,  as well as legislative institutions. 

"We have to admit that we fail on war against corruption. And this is the duty of my successor," Yudhoyono said at the State Palace on Tuesday.

Yet, he said it did not mean that the government completely out of hand on the war against corruption. During ten years of his term, he said, Indonesia aggressively combated terrorism. Moreover, Indonesia's corruption perception index (CPI) slightly increased.

"We are among 11 countries with good increasing CPI, despite the increase was less than our expectation," the president said.
