REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, INDRAMAYU -- Presidential candidate No. 2, Joko Widodo (popularly known as Jokowi) signed a political contract with community at Karangsong village in Indramayu regency, West Java on Tuesday evening. Former Solo mayor visited the village as a series of visits in Java.
Chairman of Association of Fishermen and Fish Auction (TPI) Bina Sumitra, Ono Surono read the declaration of people's struggle in front of Jokowi and his entourage. The declaration contains the commitment and support to Jokowi and Jusuf Kalla to continue development of marine-based economy if both of them are elected as president and vice president.
"We are Indonesian fishermen ready to be friends of Jokowi and Jusuf Kalla to continue the development of marine-based economy," one of declaration sentences.
Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) politician, Rieke Dyah Pitaloka accompanied Jokowi at location. She thanked to local community who have been waiting for them. Jokowi and his entourage arrived at Krangsong village around 07.30 PM after visiting Purwakarta and Subang district.
