REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Deputy Chief of Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Bambang Widjojanto submitted his resignation letter on Monday, January 27. He resigned from the agency after police named him as a suspect in false testimony case.
"I have submitted temporary resignation letter to commissioner of KPK," Widjojanto said on Monday.
He said that the letter had arrived in commissioner's letter. Three KPK Commissioners, Abraham Samad, Zulkarnaen and Adnan Pandu Praja, are discussing his proposal.
Police on Friday detained and questioned Bambang Widjojanto. Widjojanto said that the allegation was fictive. However, based on regulation, every KPK commissioner who becomes a suspect must be temporarily resigned.
