REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MAMUJU -- Poland is interested in cooperating with West Sulawesi for the management of natural resources, according to Polish Ambassador to Indonesia Morawski.
After attending the inauguration ceremony of the West Sulawesi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) Board here on Thursday, Morawski noted that the cooperation will be implemented after holding in-depth discussions with the local government.
The Polish envoy stated that as West Sulawesi has abundant natural resources and a promising tourism sector in Mamasa district, hence Poland is keen to cooperate with the province in the management of those resources for the welfare of the local community.
For the development of human resources, Morawski noted that Poland will also provide an opportunity to the students from West Sulawesi to study at leading universities in the country.
In the meantime, West Sulawesi provincial administration spokesman Jamil Barambangi remarked that the presence of the Polish envoy in the province can offer the necessary momentum to West Sulawesi to improve its human resources.
According to Barambangi, Poland will invite West Sulawesi businesspersons and local government representatives to attend a seminar on Polish industrial promotion in Jakarta.
