REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SUKABUMI -- Police have seized 10.2 kilograms of hashish from a suspect AR (24) in the West Java provincial city of Sukabumi after confiscating some 500 kilograms hashish kept in truck previously.
"The arrest of the suspect along with the evidence of the marijuana weighing 10.2 kg already packaged by the suspect, worth ranging from Rp200 thousand to Rp500 thousand per package," chief of the Sukabumi police precinct Adjunct Senior Commissioner Diki Budiman said here on Wednesday.
According to him, the police confiscated the hashish packed in shoe-boxes in the suspect's house in Baros sub-district.
The hashish seizure was a follow-up of the police raid in the region following the confiscation of some 500 kilograms of hashish kept in truck in Cianjur District.
In addition, head of the drug affairs unit of the Sukabumi police precinct Adjunct Commissioner Supeno explained that the suspect received a wage of Rp500 thousand for the marijuana distribution.
So far in 2015, the Sukabumi police precinct had uncovered as many as 27 cases with with 29 persons as suspects. The majority of drug cases concern trafficking of marijuana and methamphetamine.
