REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, PALEMBANG -- The flow of Eid or Lebaran travelers on the Lintas Timur Sumatra highway between South Sumatra Province and Lampung Province was relatively smooth, though some certain sections of the roads have minor damage.
A number of drivers of intercity buses at Palembang's Karya Jaya Bus Terminal said the flow of traffic from Bakauheni Ferry Port in Lampung to South Sumatra was relatively smooth.
They said that apparatuses also arranged the traffic at certain points where there were damaged roads.
The number of vehicles traveling along the South Sumatra and Lampung route has also increased, they said.
"The flow of traffic on the route is relatively smooth though it has begun to be busy in the face of the Eid festivity on Friday next week," Rusman, an intercity bus form the Pelambang-Bandung (West Java) said.
