REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- President's Cup planned to be held again this year. Chairman of Steering Committee of President's Cup 2015 Maruarar Sirait said, the committee would soon prepare President's Cup tournament which was likely to be started in mid 2016.

"We'll do better preparation," said the man who is familiarly called Ara, at the State Palace, on Tuesday (5/1).

Maruarar just met President Jokowi to report financial audit results of President's Cup in 2015. He stated the President's Cup has been supported by many parties and hoped that the tournament held this year could be followed by many football clubs.

According to him, Jokowi appreciated the tournament competition which was held to fill the void after PSSI was frozen. The President asked national football to be still alive without having to override the principle of fair play.

Not only that, Maruarar also said, President's Cup has became a means of proving talents and achievements of Indonesian football players.
