Thieves targets wifi devices in East Java

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, TRENGGALEK -- Trenggalek Police, East Java has arrested six members of thieves of device repeater handy talky and wifi in coastal areas of Watulimo.

"The case revealed after a report from forestry company Perhutani and residents who have lost a number of repeater of signal amplifier HT devices and wifi in a number of mountains," police chief of Watulimo Commissioner Adjutant (AKP) Saiful Rohman in Trenggalek, Saturday (23/7) night.

From the report, assault team and detective unit in Watulimo police were conducted an investigation into a number of locations. The result, he said, the team has arrested six men were dismantling repeater device in one of the transmitter site in Watulimo.

Among the actors who successfully arrested with initials BS (33 years), CS (22 years), DDS (26 years old) who from area Watulimo.

While the three suspects were identified with the initials FAS (21 years), YS (18 years old), and MS (39 years old) who all from Tulungagung.

"Mastermind of this crime is BS and his job as a security guard at dam in Tulungagung," Saiful said.

In addition arrested six perpetrators who is now named as suspects, the police also seized a number of items of evidence consisting of the wifi repeater, repeater HT, cable as well as a number of equipment used to steal. The perpetrators stole with dismantling the antenna device and took all equipment installed.

"Confession from BS nor other suspect, the partly the goods is sold to a fence and another used to run an internet business," he said.

Saiful said the six suspects charged under Article 363 of the Criminal Code on theft with a maximum penalty of seven years in prison.
