REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) was still analyzing the submission of "justice collaborator (JC)" from former Deputy Chairperson of Commission VII of the House of Representatives of the Golkar Party, Eni Maulani Saragih (EMS). She has been named suspect in bribery case of PLTU Riau-1 project.
"EMS has indeed submitted the JC. The file has been submitted to the KPK and is in the process of further analysis," KPK spokesman Febri Diansyah stated at the KPK building, Jakarta, on Wednesday.
In addition to EMS, two other suspects have been named in the case, namely Johannes Budisutrisno Kotjo (JBK) dan Idrus Marham (IM). Johannes is a shareholder of Blackgold Natural Resources Limited, while Marham is former Social Affairs Minister and Golkar Party Secretary General.
KPK on Wednesday also examined EMS as a witness for IM as a suspect. "Of course, we need to know what information the suspect knows, so that it can be examined several times as a witness for other suspects. There are many things that have been explored related to the meetings with other suspects or parties who have been called as witnesses by the KPK," Diansyah noted.

Saragih remarked that the examination this time was about his meeting with PLN President Director Sofyan Basir and Johannes Budisutrisno Kotjo. "It was a discussion about my meeting with Basir and Kotjo. So, there is nothing new about it," Saragih explained after being examined at the KPK building, Jakarta, on Wednesday.
Marham and Saragih are alleged to have received a gift or promise from Kotjo, the shareholder of Blackgold Natural Resources Limited related to a cooperation contract agreement for the construction of PLTU Riau I. Marham is suspected of contributing to the receipt of money from Saragih and Kotjo.
In November-December 2017, Saragih received Rp4 billion, while in March and June 2018, he received Rp2.25 billion. Saragih claimed she informed Marham for every payment she received from Kotjo.
Saragih's suspect is also known to have returned Rp500 million to KPK investigators. In addition, Golkar Party has handed over Rp700 million.
