"When we were surveyed, why did they return to Indonesia twice or three times, because of the service and satisfaction with us," Sandiaga said in Batam, Saturday (Mar.30, 2024).
According to him, providing service and giving satisfaction to foreign tourists is also an effort to give the best impression. "Hospitality is the strength of Indonesian tourism. We entertain with friendliness, smiles, and create a fluid atmosphere. This is our advantage," he said.
For the Riau Islands Province, Sandiaga said that the readiness of the tourism sector in the local area is getting better, especially in increasing connectivity which is also becoming more open.
"One of them is that Batam City is known for its business district, MICE (meetings, incentives, conventions, exhibitions) and shopping center in Riau Islands," Sandiaga added.
Sapta Pesona aims to improve the quality of tourism, including safe, orderly, clean, cool, beautiful, friendly and memorable. Sandiaga targets the number of foreign tourist visits to Riau Islands Province in 2024 to be the same as before the pandemic, namely 3 million visits.
