President Jokowi Appointed Three Ministers, One Deputy Minister, and Three Agency Heads

Jokowi officially appointed seven new aides to the Indonesian Cabinet.

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) officially inaugurated seven of his aides in the Cabinet of Indonesia Maju, at the State Palace, Monday (19/8/2024). The seven men consist of three ministers, one deputy minister, two agency heads, and one head of the Presidential Communications Office.

“By Allah I swear, that I will be faithful to the 1945 Constitution. And will follow the rules of the invitations in full for the sake of my devotion to the nation and the state. That I will uphold the ethics of office in carrying out my duties, work at my best with a sense of responsibility,” President Jokowi said leading the reading of the oath on Monday (19/8/2024).

The minister and deputy minister as well as the head of the body appointed was Minister of Law and Human Rights (Menkumham) Supratman Andi Agtas who replaced Yasonna Laoly. Then Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia replaced Arifin Tasrif.

Meanwhile, the position of Minister of Investment/Head of the Investment Coordination Agency (BKPM) was filled by Rosan Roeslani who replaced Bahlil. Later, an additional Deputy Minister of Communications and Informatics (Menkominfo) was filled by Angga Raka Prabowo.
