REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Gerindra Party DPP Daily Chairman Sufmi Dasco Ahmad admitted that he has not obtained exact information regarding the number of ministries formed during the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming raka cabinet era. Dasco revealed that Prabowo was simulating the number of ministries to be formed.

Dasco assures that the number of ministries that will be formed will be adjusted to Prabowo-Gibran's work program. “Later additions, it exists. As to what amount until now, we still simulate that the addition of the ministry is for optimization rather than the tasks of the ministry,” Dasco said at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Central Jakarta, Thursday (12/8/2024).

The deputy speaker of the Parliament said that the increase in the number of ministries is aimed at optimizing the government's policy in realizing Prabowo-Gibran's campaign promises. However, Dasco claimed, the addition of the ministry was still under discussion.

“In order to fulfill the campaign promise that was then in the Asta Cita program and the action program that was carried out yesterday at the time of the campaign,” Dasco said.

Because of this, he has not been able to confirm the exact figure of how many ministries were formed under Prabowo's cabinet. “That number says 44 some say 42 some say 40 we are also still doing simulations,” Dasco said.

He confirmed that the composition of the new ministry will be finalized seven days before the inauguration of the president and vice president on October 20, 2024. “There are still ongoing discussions and it will be finalized, maybe seven days before the new inauguration,” Dasco said.

The Prabowo-Gibran couple is scheduled to be sworn in by the Assembly on 20 October 2024. Meanwhile, the composition of his cabinet is projected to be announced by Prabowo on October 21 , 2024, or the day after the inauguration.
