Persis Hopes That the New Minister Will be Consistent on the Palestinian Issue

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka will soon be sworn in as President and Vice President of Indonesia for the period 2024-2029 on October 20, 2024. Chairman of Arapan Siyasah (Political and Public Policy Division) of the Head of the Islamic Unity Center (Persis), Ustadz Muslim Mufti hopes the Minister of the Republic of Indonesia who will continue to consistently monitor Palestinian issues.
“The expectations of the new Minister remain consistent with regard to the Palestinian problem,” Ustadz Mufti said when contacted by Republika.co.id, Thursday (17/10/2024).
He explained that Palestine is a constitutional trust that must be properly safeguarded because it offends the principles of justice and humanity. According to him, Indonesia must remain consistent in defending the justice of the Palestinian people.
“The Palestinian issue is a humanitarian issue. Not just exactly, all parties must remain consistent in supporting Palestine for independence,” he said.
Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming will soon be sworn in on Monday (20/10/2024) as President and Vice President of Indonesia for the period 2024-2029. After the inauguration, Prabowo plans to announce his ministers, including the new foreign minister.
The Ustadz Mufti also hopes that the inauguration will take place in a safe and peaceful atmosphere. “We all certainly hope that the transition of national leadership takes place in a conducive, safe and peaceful situation,” he said.
Furthermore, UIN Political Science lecturer Sunan Gunung Djati revealed that a safe and peaceful situation is urgently needed. It is a manifestation that the people as a nation remain united in the new era of leadership with hope and optimism and forget the differences of the last election.
He also invited and appealed to the public to participate actively, to help build a shady and peaceful atmosphere so that the transition of national leadership takes place solemnly.
“While we pray that the elected leaders can carry out their duties and duties in the best possible way, so that Indonesia's ideals of prosperity, justice, prosperity and prosperity can be truly realized,” Ustadz Mufti said.
