He acknowledged that intense communication continues with Apple in writing through the messaging application regarding the form of investment to be presented, as well as sales vendors in Indonesia. Rosan said that the vendors that will be presented in Indonesia are large companies that are estimated to be able to sell Apple products worth 1 billion US dollars or the equivalent of investments ready to be poured into Indonesia.

“And the expectations of this vendor. This is just the first vendor they're going to bring in. So there are still other vendors because of one iPhone 16 alone, there are 320 vendors,” Rosan said.

He reiterated that Apple's commitment to invest in Indonesia should not be doubted because the tech giant has already delivered on investment points. “So this has only been fine-tuning (refinement) because in writing they have given it,” Rosan explained.

Earlier, Industry Minister Agus Gumilang Kartasasmita said that Apple will invest $1 billion in Indonesia. The investment also marks Apple's latest production phone, the iPhone 16, to be released in the Indonesian market.
