REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Heavy rains that hit Jakarta on Wednesday (29/1/2025) in the early morning hours of WIB resulted in flooding in several areas. The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of DKI Jakarta recorded that more than 2,000 residents were displaced due to flooding that hit parts of Jakarta.
“Refugees are scattered at several points,” Head of Data and Information Center (Kapusdatin) of BPBD DKI Jakarta Mohamad Yohan said in Jakarta on Wednesday.
According to Yohan, from the available data, refugees were scattered in several locations mainly in West Jakarta and East Jakarta, because their homes were flooded. He explained that the more than 2,000 refugees had been evacuated to safer locations while waiting for the water that flooded their homes to recede.
Here are the evacuation locations due to the floods scattered in West and East Jakarta: Duri Kosambi Village residents' evacuation site in Mushala Darussalam RT006/RW05 with the number of 200 inhabitants. Further Mushola Isroruddin RT0001/RW05 had 150 inhabitants.
Then the refugee in Kedaung Kali Angke Village, housed in Jami Alfudholah Mosque of 37 inhabitants. Tegal Alur ward, Rusun Lokbin 83 inhabitants, Mushola Alhidayah 47 inhabitants, Mushola Al Madin Nurul Ikhwan 90 inhabitants, Mushola Durrotul Abiddin 24 inhabitants.
Further Musholah Nur Syafinah 80 inhabitants, Mushola Jami Nurul Hidayah 29 inhabitants, RPTRA Alur Kemuning 5 inhabitants, Mushola al-Mukhlisin 253 inhabitants, and Masjid an-Najiah, Masjid, Darurrohman, Ponpes an-Najiah 470 inhabitants.
Not only that for refugees in Kelurahan Pegadungan RT005/RW004 the location of Sawatul Ummah Mosque 300 inhabitants. Meanwhile, refugees in East Jakarta, namely in Cakung Timur Village, there are 1,240 displaced people in the Adventist Church, known as Jl. Sangiang Island.
“BPBD DKI appeals to the public to remain cautious and alert to potential flooding. In case of emergency, immediately call the phone number 112. The service is free and operates for 24 hours non-stop,” he said.
