REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, TEHRAN -- Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif underlined the strong determination by Tehran and Zagreb for expansion of relations.
The Iranian foreign minister made the remarks in a meeting with the new Croatian ambassador to Tehran Striebor Keric in Tehran on Saturday.
"The exchanges of visits and meetings of Iranian and Croatian officials, including the visit and successful negotiations of Iran's Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani to Zagreb last year and continuation of such visits shows the serious determination of both sides for expansion of all-out relations," Zarif said during the meeting.
The Iranian foreign minister pointed to vast capacities of Iran-Croatia in economic, trade, commercial, trade, cultural and tourism areas, and said, "It is necessary to make use of these capacities for all-out expansion of Tehran-Zagreb relations."
Zarif noted that Iran and Croatia have had age-old and good relations and expressed the hope that the new Croatian ambassador will succeed in all-out expansion of relations in view of his good experiences.
The new creations ambassador also submitted his credentials to the Iranian foreign minister, and conveyed the greetings of his foreign minister.
He described Tehran-Zagreb relations as progressive and pointed to the abundant potentials of both countries for the expansion of relations, and said, the two countries should do their best to enhance their relations in all areas, specially in economic and trade areas.
