Students from E Kalimantan to teach Muslims in Sulawesi

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Dozens of female students of Hidayatullah Islamic High School of Balikpapan, East Kalimantan, will teach Muslims in Sulawesi  about Islam. 

"There, they will be dispersed into various areas, such as South Sulawesi, West Sulawesi, and Southeast Sulawesi," Chairman of Hidayatullah Islamic High School of Balikpapan, Abdul Ghofar Hadi said on Monday.

The program called Student Internship Preach is a program to deploy the students to carry out the practice in the community college. It is required when a student enters the seventh semester.

The program will give spirit of journey of the Prophet Muhammad, Companions and ulemas who have done meritorious work of Islamic preaching which Muslims can enjoy today. Same as in college, the program  also doesn't mix male and female students. This is related to the maintenance of shariah and hijab which are a top priority. 

The male and female students will conduct a training, such as  lectures of tarawih, Friday sermon, community development, fostering kindergarten and Quran Educational Park (TPA), as well as participating in social activities.
