REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, CENTRAL LOMBOK - Hundreds of mass from the Study of Social Advocacy and Budget Transparency (KASTA) from West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), along with several other NGOs, staged a peaceful rally in Central Lombok Regent Office, NTB and Central Lombok police headquarters on Monday.

"Hundreds of the member of KASTA NTB with several other NGOs this morning held a rally in support of the arrival of the high priest FPI Habib Rizieq Shihab in Praya, Central Lombok," said the Chairman of the NTB Caste, Muhanan, when contacted by Republika.co.id in Mataram, NTB, on the same day

Muhanan said that their presence aimed at expressing appreciation to the Government of Central Lombok district which has given permission to conduct tabligh akbar (grand sermon) and fundraising for flood victims in Bima. The event will be held on January 29 in Central Lombok and will be attended by Habib Rizieq. "This also dismissed the notion that the Islamic communities in Central Lombok reject the presence of Rizieq," Muhanan asserted.

The second action was held in Central Lombok police headquarters to convey the demand that no more criminalization to the clergy, including Habib Rizieq. "The cases inflicted on Habib Rizieq impressed to be contrived and made-up," he added. 

Participants of the action urged the national police to be professional in handling the case of the scholars, especially Habib Rizieq.
