REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Indonesian organic rice from Tasikmalaya and Bali namely Volcanic Rice contested in USA Rice Contest now is entering for semifinal. The Vice Minister of Trade, Bayu Krisnamurthi, hopes Indonesia, by the end of June, can discover the winner of organic food contest attended by 28 countries.

"This is the appreciation of export market on Indonesian products," Krisnamurthi said on Tuesday. 

Yet, he said, it did not mean that Indonesia would boost the export of organic rice since the consumers were still specific and limited. "This is an achievement considering that Indonesia has not produced much organic rice," he said.
