REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, YANGOON - Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) donates a unit of ambulance to Myanmar Red Cross as the refugee camps scattered in several regions and the lack of medical operational vehicles. The Coordinator of Humanitarian Aid at PMI for Myanmar, Arifin Muhammad Hadi, said the donated ambulance has met WHO standard.
The ambulance is also equipped with oxygen tank and nasal cannula, first aid, and minor surgery utensils. "The ambulance will be used for medical operational team in every emergency camp in Rakhine, Arifin Muhammad Hadi, said on Friday in the press release.
The President of Myanmar Red Cross (MRCS), Tha Hla Shwe, expressed his gratitude to PMI. He said that MRCS needed mobile ambulance to reach remote areas. The ambulance is also functioned to evacuate emergency patient from refugee camp to hospital.
