REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, YOGYAKARTA - Indonesia will share its successful experience on developing microfinance at International Microfinance Conference 2012 on Monday in Yogyakarta. President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is scheduled to officially open the event.
"SBY is also the keynote speaker, as he will share Indonesian successful story on developing Small Medium Enterprise," Minister of Cooperation and Small Medium Syarif Hasan, said on the press release on Sunday. "As a host, Yogyakarta is a city of creative industry. It is also the second tourism object in Indonesia after Bali," Hasan added.
Governor of Yogyakarta, the Sri Sultan Hamengko Buwono X, is expected to deliver a speech as well. While the other speakers are the founder of Grameen Bank Muhammad Yunus, Larry Greed from Global Microcredit Summit Campaign and Jay Rosengard from Harvard University.
The conference is also an opportunity to explain the implementation of financial inclusion. A video related to the matter will be presented before opening speech.
