Indonesian national team to go to Spain for training

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Indonesian national football team begin to focus on preparing for the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Cup 2014. Coach head, Alfred Riedl and his team will have training at football training center in Spain.

Assistant coach, Widodo Cahyono Putro said that the training would be held after Indonesian Super League (ISL) on March 20 to April 11.

"We will focus on training in Valencia. We will take off on March 19 from Jakarta," Putro said on Wednesday.

In Valencia, Garuda squad plans to participate in football matches against Cuba and Andora, as well as with a local team of Spain. The training program is conducted by Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) and also Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN) as the sponsor. 

The training, planned since a long time ago, is part of preparation to  AFF trophy to Indonesia this year.

AFF Cup will be held in Singapore and Vietnam on November 22 to December 20, 2014 with detailed schedule to be announced soon by BTN.
