REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Head of Information Division of the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics (BMKG), Harry Tirto Djatmiko, said the National Monument and the surrounding area has the potential to rain on on Friday (2/12). Rain also potentially occur in the South Jakarta, specifically Semanggi area and MPR/DPR.
Harry explained weather conditions in Monas will be cloudy in Friday morning. Several areas that will be passed by the participants of 212 rally, namely Istiqlal Mosque, Hotel Indonesia Roundabout, Jl Sudirman and Jl MH Thamrin will also be cloudy. "In the early of Friday afternoon, those spots will still be cloudy, but there's a chance of light rain," Harry said via text message to Republika.co.id on Thursday.
On Friday afternoon, light rain is predicted to occur in Monas, Istiqlal Mosque, Jl MH Thamrin, and Hotel Indonesia Roundabout. The maximum air temperature on Friday afternoon is expected to reach 33 Celcius degree. "The humidity of air in the range of 55 percent to 95 percent. The wind is expected to blow from the northwest to the southwest at speed of 5-45 km/h," Harry added.
