REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Chairperson of Election Supervisory Board (Bawaslu) Mimah Susanti said staple food bazzar held by Djarot Saiful Hidayat's sympathizers in Klender, East Jakarta, on Friday (April 14), was a modus of money politics. Bawaslu Jakarta would ensure the formal and material elements of the electorial crime on that event. 

"There was an indication of money politics because it was a modus of money politics," said Mimah to reporters after a discussion in Cikini, Central Jakarta on Saturday (April 15). 

Based on the regulation, Bawaslu had to call the reported people and witnesses. Mimah said the alegation of money politics was currently being processed by East Jakarta Supervisors. 

However, Mimah said the case was a finding, not a report. Therefore, Bawaslu needed to ask as many as information from the field supervisors. 

On Friday (April 14), volunteers of Gerbang Aswaja for H Djarot Saiful Hidayat held a staple bazaar at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Street, Kampung Sumur,  Klender, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta. Some banners showed it was held by Djarot supporters. 

The bazaar commitee, Husni Mubarok Amir, confirmed that the event was a form to support Djarot who is a candidate of Jakarta deputy governor paired with Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok).

There were about 2.000 packages of staple provided. Each consisted of a kilogram of cooking oil, a kilogram of sugar, some noodles, some liters of rice, and some sachets of coffee. Each pack were Rp 20 thousands. About 20 percent were given to poor people free.
