REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – The former Indonesian Vice President, Jusuf Kalla (JK), said age did not prevent someone to be a candidate for president. Everyone has the right to nominate themselves to be a president.
“In law, there is only minimum age restriction, which is 35 years old, without citing maximum age. As long as they are spiritually and physically healthy, they can lead this nation,” he said on Monday.
JK gets full support to nominate as presidential candidate in 2014 from South Sulawesi citizen. The Director of Celebes Research Center, Herman Heizer, said according to the survey result on March 2012, JK was eminent. “JK is assessed as clever man. He also can solve the problem quickly,” he said.
