Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) and Russian team start to reconstruct the body remains of Sukhoi's victims on Monday. Police plan to hand over the victims to their families on Wednesday.

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, KRAMAT JATI – As all the bodies of Sukhoi crash victims are successfully identified, families are allowed to see them after registering to Ante Mortem. Only three members of each family are allowed to see the bodies on Tuesday at 13.00.

“The family will have an interview with psychologists. They will be asked about the funeral process according to the victims’ religion. Then we will consider whether they are mentally ready or not to see the body. If they are not ready, we will not allow them,” the Executive Director of Disaster Victim Identification (DVI), Anton Castilani, said on Monday. The condition of the body will also be explained to the family. Then, the bodies will be handed over to each family on Wednesday in Halim Perdana Kusuma Airport. Trimarga Company will facilitate the process to their funeral house.

The family of Darwin Pelawi, the Operational Director of Pelita Air, one of the victims, is grateful that the body is identified. “My family will come tomorrow to see the body. Honestly speaking, I do not want to see the body. But I will consult with the psychologist first,” Pelawi’s wife, Santa Fransiska, said.
