REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - The Minister of Finance Agus Martowardojo said the Ministry of Defense (MoD) asked for the increasing state budget in around 12 trillion IDR to develop the national defence and security. The data at the Ministry of Finance states that the realization of revised state budget for Ministry of Defense is low as it only reaches 40.7 percent or 29.7 trillion IDR from 72.9 trillion of budget.

"We will only provide the additional budget of 6 trillion IDR," he said.

The 6 trillion IDR of additional budget is provided to reach essential cost. Agus said the 77.7 trillion IDR budget for the Ministry of Defense was the biggest budget allocation ever given to the Ministry of Defense since the crisis in 1998.
