SBY visits Cambodia State Palace to mourn the late king

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, PHNOM PENH - Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono visited Cambodia State Palace on Tuesday to mourn the death of former King Norodom Sihanouk. The visit took place on the sideline of the 21st ASEAN Summit in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, as reported by Arys Hilman from Republika.  

Sihanouk passed away on October 15 in Beijing, China, of a heart attack in the age of 89 years. He also suffered diabetes, hypertension, and cancer. His body lies in the palace for three months before the cremation.

He was born on October 31, 1922. Sihanouk became king in 1941 and 1993. Guinness Book of World Records identifies him as the politician who has served the world's greatest variety of political offices. These included two terms as king and two as prime minister.
