VP Boediono to attend the inauguration of S. Korean president

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Indonesian Vice President Boediono will pay a state visit to Seoul, South Korea on February 23-26, 2013. One of his agenda is to attend the inauguration of Park Geun-hye as the president of South Korea.

"We have close relations between Indonesia-South Korea. The year 2013 is the Year of Friendship and also commemorating the 40 years of our bilateral relations," spokesman of Vice President, Yopie Hidayat, said on Friday.

Vice President Boediono and his wife, Herawati Boediono, will fly to Seoul on Saturday. Hidayat said there were at least 25 countries and three international institutions including UN that would send their representatives to attend the inauguration.

Boediono is scheduled to hold bilateral meeting with President Park Geun-hye on February 26, 2013 at the Blue House to discuss a number of possibilities to improve the relations. Boediono will also meet several directors of South Korea's prominent companies, encouraging them to invest in Indonesia and strengthening economy of both countries.
