Govt to implement '2013 curriculum'

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, PALANGKARAYA - Government will implement 2013 curriculum and now actively socializing the curriculum for schools in Indonesia, vice President Boediono announced it in Palangkaraya, Central Kalimantan on Saturday.

"Curriculum change is normal in educational program," Boediono said. 

The new system will be implemented gradually in several phases, depends on the schools' capability. Minister of Education and Culture, Mohammad Nuh said that not all schools were obliged to implement it. "Complete implementation will take several years," he said.

Nuh also explain that students did not need to pay new books in this curriculum. He guaranteed, the implementation of new curriculum would not burden the students.
