A grandmother dies after hit by Transjakarta bus

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SEMANGGI -- An old woman, Kiki Emah (78 years) died after hit by Transjakarta bus with number of B-7524 IE driven by Andi Sumbandi (37 years). She crossed the road at traffic light of Carolus Hospital in Central Jakarta on Monday.

Head of Traffic Unit in Central Jakarta Police, Com Sakat explained that the accident was occurred at 9:10 AM. Emah was walking from Carolus Hospital to Diponegoro Street.

"Suddenly, Transjakarta bus with route of Harmoni - Pusat Grosir Cililitan (PGC) came from Gunung Sahari Street in north to south toward Matraman Street. She was hit then," Sakat said on Monday.

The driver is a Ceger resident in East Jakarta. He was directly secured by officers at Jakarta Police. The victim is known as Bendungan Jago resident in Central Jakarta. She was taken to Cipto Mangunkusumo hospital for an autopsy.
