REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, TANGERANG - The investigators of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) raided the house of South Tangerang mayor, Airin Rachmi Diany, on Monday.
The investigators arrived in a mini-bus at her house at around 12 pm.
"Around seven people entered the house," a security guard at the Narada Cluster, where her home is located, said.
Airin Rachmi Diany is the wife of Tubagus Chaeri Wardana (TCW), the brother of the Banten province governor, Ratu Atut Chosiyah. Atut Chosiyah, a Golkar Party figure, has also been detained in connection with a corruption case.
TCW has been detained as a suspect in connection with corruption cases involving the Lebak district heads election and the procurement of health equipment for Tangerang Selatans health center and the Banten province.
Simultaneously, the KPK investigators raided seven locations in connection with their investigation of an alleged money-laundering case involving TCW.
"This afternoon, the KPK investigators searched several locations linked to the alleged money laundering case involving TCW, including TCWs house on Jalan Denpasar UV No. 35 and No. 43 in South Jakarta," KPK spokesman Johan Budi said.
Other locations raided include a house in the Grand Serang Asri housing complex in Serang, Banten, belonging to a staff member of TCW, Yayah Rodiah, who is also the cashier at PT Bali Pacific Pragama, and a house in the Taman Graha Asri housing complex, also in Serang, Banten, belonging to Dadang Prijatna, the president director of PT Mikindo Adiguna Pratama.
Dadang has been named a suspect, along with TCW, in a corruption case linked to the procurement of medical equipment for the Tangerang health center in 2012. The house of TCWs confidant, Dadan Sumpena, at Taman Graha Asri, was also raided.
