REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - About 200 tonnes of garbage washed away by floods piled up at Kalibata bridge, Rawajati village, South Jakarta. Head of Public Cleanliness department for South Jakarta area, Jauhari, said on Thursday his department prepared heavy equipments to clean the bridge.

"We think there is about 200 tonnes of garbage (stuck in the area) and we need 40 trucks to clean it out," Jauhari said on Friday.

There are some challenges in the cleaning process, including the power cables along the bridge make the process more difficult. Local government deployed 10 trucks with capacity of five tonnes of garbage, two heavy equipments, also 50 members of staff. The garbage will be dumped in Bantar Gebang, Bekasi.
