REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MATARAM -- A total of 727 prisoners in West Nusa Tenggara Province (NTB) were awarded sentence reduction ranging from one to six months in connection with the 69th anniversary of Indonesia's Independence Day on Sunday.

Head of Law and Human Rights Ministry's Office for NTB Agusta KM Embly said here on Sunday that the sentence remissions were given to 727 prisoners out of the total 1,078 inmates of the NTB prison.

He said that public remission I was given to 713 inmates, remission 2 to 14 prisoners and additional remission to 8 people.
