Arab League reaffirms keenness on Libya's security, stability

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, CAIRO -- The Arab League on Sunday stressed how keen it is on the security and stability in Libya for the sake of realizing ambitions of the Libyan people.

The League's Secretary-General Nabil Al-Araby will lead a delegation to the 4th ministerial meeting for Libya's neighboring states in Cairo on Monday, said Deputy Secretary-General Ahmad bin Helli.

Foreign Ministers from Libya, Algeria, Tunisia, Sudan and Chad and an official from Niger are taking part in the meeting to be chaired by Egypt.

The African Union special envoy to Libya Dalita Mohammad Dalita and the Arab League envoy to the country Nasser Al-Qudoa will also attend.

The League's senior official underscored the importance of the meeting "whose outcome will be built on to face deterioration in Libya."

Bin Helli noted that the deteriorating conditions in Libya will be on the agenda of the Arab Foreign Ministers 142 session to be held in Cairo on September 7.
